Open Case Division
ABOUT US
We’re one of Washington’s leading Criminal Defense investigative agencies, focused on giving
people a voice in both State and Federal cases—whether through an open case or in post-conviction
relief.
We know what it feels like when no one is really listening—when your attorney isn’t explaining things,
your discovery feels one-sided, and the clock is ticking. Most of our clients come to us because they feel
shut out of their own defense. We help change that.
Our investigators are professionals with criminal justice degrees and real-world experience. We’re not
just here to take notes-we’re here to dig deeper, build strategy, and make sure your side of the story is
finally heard whether in our Open Case Division or our Appeal Division. Our primary goal is to make a
difference.
We’ve earned a reputation for changing outcomes—and even lives. We’ve helped clients prove
innocence, secure dramatically reduced sentences, and in some cases, achieve immediate release.
We’ve been in business for over eight years, with an A rating from the Better Business Bureau, and we’re
well known throughout the Washington prison system for assisting inmates in obtaining relief from
aggressive prosecutions by doing honest, effective, and thorough investigative work.
Most of our clients find us through word of mouth—referrals from people inside who saw results, felt
heard, and finally had someone take their case seriously.
Because of the growing number of people calling us from county jails asking for help on their active
cases, we’ve dedicated more resources and expanded our Open Case Division.
We’ve worked with some of the most respected defense attorneys in the state—both pre- and post-
conviction—and we’re known for uncovering strong evidence that gives legal teams something solid to
fight with, whether at trial, in negotiation, or on appeal.
You absolutely have the right to pick your legal team with no permission. You can retain us at anytime
independently. If you are not happy with the results at the end of your open case we can transfer you to
our Appeal Division where you will have access to Pro Bono attorneys through a program we have
at no extra charge and assist you in having it reviewed by a higher court
🟢 OPEN CASE DIVISION – $5,000 FLAT RATE
If you’re currently facing criminal charges and feel like your concerns aren’t being addressed, your side of the story isn’t being heard, or your defense feels rushed or incomplete, we can help.
We conduct independent, licensed criminal investigations during active cases—designed to support your attorney or stand on their own if they’re not willing to cooperate. We don’t interfere with your legal representation—we strengthen it.
Getting us involved early can also set you up for success later. If things don’t go as planned, a complete investigation already on record makes your transition into the appeal process faster, stronger, and more focused.

⚖️ WHAT WE DO VS. WHAT YOUR ATTORNEY DOES
Your attorney and our investigators play different roles, but both can be critical to the strength of your defense. Attorneys are trained to build legal arguments, file motions, negotiate plea deals, and represent you in court. Their job is to work within the legal system to protect your rights and fight for the best possible outcome.
But most attorneys are limited to working with what’s in the official record — what the state chooses to hand over in discovery.
That means they usually review:
• Discovery from the prosecution
• Police reports and charging documents
• Statements and court filings
What we do is different.
We go outside the discovery packet. We dig into the evidence, question the process, find what was missed, and look for leverage that can shift the outcome. We investigate:
- Backgrounds of witnesses and officers
• Evidence that wasn’t tested or introduced
• Inconsistencies, misconduct, or suppression
• Mitigating facts that were overlooked
We give your attorney more to work with — and give you a voice in your defense.
One of the biggest complaints we hear in the appeal stage is: my lawyer didn’t do anything. But when we look deeper, sometimes it’s because the attorney didn’t have anything solid to fight with. We try to change that before it’s too late.
⚠️ A Note About Attorneys and Investigators
Some defense attorneys may be territorial or protective of their cases. That’s not necessarily a bad thing - it often means they care about controlling every element of the defense in hopes of getting the best outcome. When they’re open to collaboration, our work can strengthen their strategy. But cooperation is not required for us to do our job.
If your attorney refuses to acknowledge or act on strong evidence we uncover, it may be time to document those concerns for possible ineffective assistance of counsel for the appellate court to review-especially if they’re ignoring new leads or dismissing facts that could help your case.
You may also be told that “we already have an investigator for your case.” Keep in mind:
Court-appointed investigators do not do the same as what we offer.
They operate under tight budgets, can only follow the attorney’s instructions, and usually aren’t allowed to pursue new angles unless specifically directed to. Most do not receive a full copy of your discovery, nor do they have the time or resources to comb through it with care.
We’re here to do a full, independent investigation-from exploring new leads to locating overlooked witnesses because we believe your story deserves to be fully told. All evidence is gathered in strict compliance with state and federal standards to ensure it holds weight in court and withstands legal scrutiny
You absolutely have the right to pick your legal team with no permission. You can retain us at anytime independently. If you are not happy with the results at the end of your open case we can transfer you to our Appeal Division were you will have access to Pro Bono attorneys through a program we have , at no extra charge and assist you in having it reviewed by a higher court.

💼 WHY THE OPEN CASE PACKAGE COSTS MORE
You’ll notice our Open Case Division is $5,000, while the Appeal Division is $3,500.
Here’s why:
Open cases are fast-moving and high-pressure. We must work around court schedules, attorney timelines, and urgent filing deadlines. That includes:
- Time-sensitive strategy sessions
• Court and attorney coordination
• Rushed turnarounds and filings
In contrast, post-conviction investigations are more flexible. Courts respond with ease, records are easier to access, and we don’t have to prepare live trial strategies. You receive the same quality investigation, but with fewer moving parts and a more focused strategy.
💡 The Open Case cost reflects the intensity and time commitment it takes to make a real-time impact before sentencing.
If you’re going through a tough time and think we might be able to help, please reach out. We truly care about the people we work with and believe everyone deserves to be treated fairly in the justice system. We’re here to be a positive force in your corner-because when the system fails you, it affects everyone around you!
“To exist as an interpreter of the law, you first have to follow that law yourself. Law is the glue that holds society together. It's flawed, but absolute, and corruption only hinders its progress.”
